I offer one-to-one bespoke computer guidance for both new users and more established computer owners.

I have considerable experience with both Apple Macs and PCs as well as most of the main software applications.

I'm based in the very centre of the UK which may limit how far I can travel to give you bespoke tuition but give me a call anyway.

I'm an extremely experienced tutor and workshop leader with twenty years experience of passing on knowledge to people of all ages and experience. I have almost infinite patience and an ability to convey complex information in a simple and understandable manner without patronising or confusing.

Many of my clients are retired and have decided to get to grips with computers for a few specific purposes - email their grandchildren; listen to podcasts; organise their music; write lots of letters, all the normal things we do with computers.

Here are some of the questions that have come out of sessions:
"What is the connection between the mouse pointer on the screen and the way I move my finger?"

"How do I type a blank line, get the letters to appear further down a blank letter?"

"I have moved my iTunes collection to an external drive and I can't see my music anymore."

"Could you show me how best to use my new iPhone and how can I make a copy of my addresses in case I lose it?"

I am able to produce on the spot printed manuals using screen shots of your own computer and equipment with personalised annotated step by step instructions for use after we have finished a session and I am no longer there.


These manuals are directly produced with each individual client in mind.

As you will see I have organised this 78 year old clients desktop to reflect only the tasks she wishes to get to grips with at the moment. 

The screen shots, instructions and even individual words I have used are of her computer and equipment and are relevant directly to her experience. 

Computer icons, and files are renamed after discussion to be easily identified.
